Biographical Sketch of LaUna Huffines
LaUna Huffines is the author of Bridge of Light: Tools of Light for Spiritual Transformation (two editions), Healing Yourself with Light: How to Connect with the Angelic Healers, and Connecting with All the People in Your Life.
She received a B.A. from Texas Woman's University with a major in English and Sociology. She later earned a M.S. degree from East Texas State University with a major in Counseling and Psychology
LaUna also earned a PhD. (ABD) in East/West Psychology, Religion, and Philosophy at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco California.
She received further training from Dr. John Enright, Gestalt Psychologist and from the late Rev. A. A. Taliaferro of Dallas Texas and certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming from the original creators, Bandler and Grinder.
She taught courses at Southern Methodist University on Creativity and How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life. She co-taught a graduate course on public speaking at California Institute for Integral Studies with Angeles Arrien.LaUna later taught as a partner with Dr. John Enright in Tokyo, Japan, Melbourne and Sydney, Australia and in various cities of the U.S. and British Columbia.
LaUna has traveled extensively through Europe, Japan, Hawaii, and Australia. LaUna and her sister Jean St.Martin will be traveling in Egypt during November and December 2008.
She led sessions at the Transpersonal Psychology Association annual conferences. .LaUna has also presented workshops at the University of the Seven Rays conference in Mesa Arizona.
LaUna's first book, Connecting with All the People in Your LIfe, was published by Harper/Collins, San Francisco, 1986. Her second book, Bridge of Light: Tools of Light for Spiritual Transformation, was published by Simon and Schuster, Fireside Division in 1989.
Her third book, a completely updated edition of Bridge of Light, was published by H. J. Kramer, Tiburion, California, Dec. 1993. LaUna's most recent booki, Healing Yourself with Light: How to Connect with the Angelic Healers, was published by H. J. Kramer, 1995. This book is published in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Czech, Finnish, Sweden, and the Netherlands,
LaUna has created 30 additional audio courses on CD with guided meditations to go with the books yet are expanded meditations on healing and on creating a bridge of light. She has also created audio courses to go beyond the soul to the Divine Self.
She and the Path of Light Pub. manager, Jean St.Martin, maintain three websites: PathofLight.com, HealingwithLight.org, and TrianglesofLight.org. The Triangles site is a unit in the worldwide service activity called Triangles which is open to all who wish to meditate to bring light, love, and power to humanity using the Great Invoction or other world prayer.
LaUna has facilitated and taught two Path of Light seminars annually for 25 years. She founded an ongoing Healing Community from those who had studied with her. She also established the Path of Light program with four levels of creating one's path of light -- towards eventual liberation. She also hosts Solar Festival Full Moon Meditation meetings each month where whe is in residence, Ashland or Dallas.
During recent decades she has been a guest on television and radio talk shows in Dallas Texas, Salt Lake City, Portland Oregon, Seattle Washington, San Francisco and Palm Springs, California to discuss her books.
LaUna is the mother of four sons, James, Ray, and Donald and Phillip (identical twins) and the grandmother of fifteen beautiful souls. She resides in Ashland Oregon and in Dallas Texas, where she continues to teach and to write.
